Our story
Hello and thank you for stopping by! We’re a family-run dairy farm with deep roots and even deeper love — not just for the land and animals we care for, but for the joy that dogs have brought into our lives. My wife Mary and I are proud parents to six wonderful children. Our journey with dogs began during one of the hardest seasons of our lives: after the loss of our 5-month-old child, we brought home a puppy. That little pup helped mend our hearts in ways we didn’t expect — and opened a door to something beautiful.
Over time, our home became a haven not just for our family, but for the puppies we’ve had the honor of raising. Each of our kids has a bond with the dogs, but perhaps none more touching than the one our son with spina bifida shares with them. He has a calm, quiet way about him, and the dogs seem to respond with gentleness and peace. When the puppies get loud, it can be hard for him — and somehow, they always seem to sense that and settle down. It’s just one of the many ways we’ve seen the special nature of dogs in action.
At Winding Streams Companions, we believe in raising puppies that not only bring joy but become true companions — just like they’ve been to us. These puppies are born into a family full of love, laughter, and care. Our goal is to share that same gift with you.

We proudly welcome families near and far. Because our program is intentionally small, visits and placements are scheduled in advance through our waitlist.

Every breed we raise comes with its own known health considerations, and we take them seriously. We are intentional about our dam and sire pairings, and both parents complete health screening before any litter is planned.
